What's the adoption process?
We aim to make the adoption process as straightforward as possible. For the best experience, we encourage you to visit our facility and meet our pets in person. To adopt, you'll need to complete an adoption application, which you can submit online using the buttons above or in person. Please note that the application process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of days. Following approval, you are allowed to adopt a pet!

Want to sponsor an adoption?
Consider giving the gift of an adoption! Pick any animal from our listing and make a donation towards it's adoption! You may also make a general donation and let us know you'd like our Board to select the pet!

What does "getting approved" mean?
Getting approved means that our Board of Directors has determined that your home is the best fit for the pet you selected. They do this by looking at the pet(s) behavior, breed, age, and temperament and comparing it to the home you describe in the application. What if it does not work out? Within 15 days of adoption, we offer a singular exchange of another shelter pet. If you need longer than 15 days, please send an email to our Front Office detailing the situation. Please be aware that the shelter does not offer refunds. How does the shelter receive adoptable pets? A large majority of our pets come from owner surrenders, meaning that previous families have given their animals into our care. Occasionally, when we have space, we will pull pets from local kill shelters. Can I give the shelter a pet to be adopted? Please see our surrender page for more information. Does the shelter offer any discounts? We only offer discounts to senior citizens adopting senior animals. Contact our front office for more information. |
