What should I buy?

For your convenience, we have made an Amazon list of things you should buy! Feel free to alter this list as you see fit 

• Food & Water Bowls
• Dry Food (We recommend Iams ) 
• Bed(s) 
• Toys (Size appropriate*) 
• Puppy Pads 
• Leash, Collar, and Harness Set 

(OPTIONAL) 

• Crate (Size appropriate*) 
• Waste Scooper 
• Wet Dog Food

*Be sure to buy the correct size for each category (i.e. don't buy a small tennis ball for a large dog)

How to Adopt

If you're interested in adopting a shelter dog, here's how to do so! 


1. Visit our facility and meet with all of our adoptable pets. Click here for directions to our facility.
- You can also see our dogs online or on our Instagram (@westendshelter) 

2. Complete an online or paper adoption application.
- The approval process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. 

3. Following approval, you will be able to take home your new dog. 
- At the time of adoption, you will receive all medical records and certificates.
