The Surrender Process
01
Make an Appointment
All surrenders are done by appointment-only.
Call our office to inquire about setting an apppointmentl, have the following info ready:
- Pet’s Age
- Pet’s Breed
- Vaccination Status (Current, Not Current, Unknown)
- Spay/Neuter Status
- Reason of surrender
02
Evaluation
When you visit for your appointment, all pets are evaluated based off their temperament.
We understand fear and uncertainty amongst pets and do our best to provide the least stressful environment.
Please have all records available.
03
Surrender/Fees
To offset the cost of taking on a new pet, we do charge placement fees.
We understand that all situations are different, so, our fees are dependent on each situation.
However,
We do charge based off what is not done on the pet meaning if the pet is not spayed/neutered or vaccinated, we charged based off that.
Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of pets do you accept?
We accept owner surrenders meaning that the owner of the pet is placing it into our shelter. We do not accept stray, lost, found or community animals.
What do I do with strays?
Strays must be taken to the animal shelter contracted by your city. Scroll down to see the nearby shelters who accept strays.
Can I know when my pet is adopted?
Yes! At the counter, please let us know you’d like to be called when your pet is adopted.
Can I check on a pet?
Yes, however, we do not allow visits. At anytime you’re more than welcome to call, text, or email us requesting updates on your pet.
Can I donate my pet’s belongings?
Absolutely, you may donate any of your pet’s belongings such as blankets, toys, treats, etc. If a pet has items from it’s home, the transition from home to shelter life is easier.
