Why should I donate to West End?West End Shelter for Animals (WESA) is one of the oldest no-kill shelters in Southern California. We serve as a no-kill alternative where owners can confidently surrender their pet knowing a good home will be found and not euthanized.
Every year hundreds of homeless animals come through our door and we make a commitment that each and every one will remain safe until it's adoption. Unfortunately, we do not have in-house veterinary care available outside of vaccinations. This means that we have to take pets to a veterinary clinic to be spayed/neutered, receive checkups, etc. and this bill continually adds up. We see it through that each pet receives high-quality medical care to ensure it's healthy and comfortable stay with us. Additionally, our shelter operates out of 70 year old buildings that are in need of constant repair and maintenance. Making monthly donations can help offset these costs. 100% of all donations go towards the animals whether it be a bag of food, a portion of our monthly veterinary bill, new beds, new toys, rebuilding damaged kennels, etc. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, our non-profit 501(c)(3) tax identification number is 95-1812163. |

We always accept towels, blankets, rags, (opened & unopened) bags of food/treats, canned food, etc. Please note: due to staff limitations, we cannot pickup donations. Please see our most up-to-date shelter needs list.
